Time to plan another trip to the UK

I was ill lately and originally wanted to attend the London Affiliate Conference, but had to cancel that plan since there is a bit of work that I have to catch up with. Fortunately my first english online poker forum hosts their live event at the UK again and I was already there 4 times and can't really give that a miss since I was at Canada instead last September.

Last night I got the booking confirmation for the flights and even though KLM is not really my #1 airline, it is by far better than US Airways . I will fly to Newcastle and back to Germany via Amsterdam and meet up with some old friends for a fun weekend of poker, drinks and a lot of laughter at the end of February.

The reason I post this so early already is that if anyone here from near Newcastle or northern UK that would like to meet up there as well gonna have enough time to make some plans. Hopefully I will be able to see Paul (colebex) and his better half Tina, Lee (badboyplayer), Nick (spiersey) and Tino.

The two games will take place on February 25th and February 26th at the Grosvenor Newcastle and only be 25 British Pounds each ... which is quite fortunate as we can have more drinks instead . If anyone is interested feel free to drop me a PM for more information, as far as I know they are also having a special rate for 1-2 hotels at "The Toon" as well.

It isn't really about the poker in general at these live events, but more about the socializing aspect and it always surprises me how this card game can connect people from all over the world and also establish lifetime friendships. This forum will also always be special for me since I met one of my most dear friends there ... you know who you are .

BuyIn for each tourney will be 25 GBP, Friday will be a Bounty game with 10 GBP on each head, 10 GBP into the prizepool and 5 GBP as fee. Saturday will be a 25 GBP Freezeout with 20 GBP to the prizepool and 5 GBP as fee. Lots of drinks and fun guaranteed!
