Los Angeles (August 12, 2011) – Just two weeks away from kicking off WPT’s domestic tour schedule, World Poker Tour is pleased to announce it has reached an agreement with its newest casino partner, Parx Casino®, and will host a televised WPT main event there in 2012.

Located in Bensalem, PA, just minutes outside Philadelphia, this beautiful new property features a cutting-edge, 260,000 square foot casino with a sizeable poker room that has become an instant attraction for locals and visitors alike. With more than 60 poker tables, and the space to bring in dozens more, the nearly one-year old poker room is an east coast jewel.

As part of the three-year deal, Parx Casino® (www.parxcasino.com) will annually host one televised World Poker Tour main event and three WPT Regional events.

More details of the agreement with Parx Casino® will be revealed at the WPT Season X press conference, taking place at 11:30 AM on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at The Bicycle Casino outside Los Angeles. Dates and structures of the televised event will be released later this year when the WPT unveils its final Season X schedule.
