Which online #poker sites offer #fast-fold poker?

Monday, May 12, 2014 Posted by Unknown No comments

The average recreational poker player has less time to dedicate to the card game that we all love and hate so much (depending on the final card that is dealt). But even grinders appreciate the introduction of fast fold poker where you immediately get moved to a new table once your action in the previous hand is complete. Which sites actually offer this feature and to what extend? The below list is most likely not fully accurate and I may missing out on some smaller networks.

PokerStars

It was not the first of its kind but second to Full Tilt and Zoom Poker gives players the opportunity to sit at eight fast fold cash tables simultaneously on PokerStars .com/.fr and .eu. Games offered are No Limit Hold'em up to $50/$100 with more than 800 entries in their most popular pools below NL400, Fixed Limit Hold'em (with barely any traffic), Pot Limit and No Limit Omaha as well as Five Card Draw (same non existing action as in FLHE) at Heads-Up, 6-max and full ring tables. You will even find entire Zoom MTT's and it was included in the SCOOP schedule, mobile support and rather effortless multi tabling is obviously included.

FullTiltPoker

Rush Poker was the first ever fast fold poker type and Full Tilt continues to offer the biggest variety of games in general. Whereas cash game for No Limit Hold'em reaches until 2/4, the Pot Limit Omaha action is capped to 1/2. Besides that, there are a plethora of Rush MTT's and on demand SNG's available. The mobile / iPad client only features Rush Poker thus far.
An even more fast paced version is the so called "Adrenaline Rush": The games are 4-handed, you can buy in for between 5 and 10 Big Blinds and there is no post-flop betting. You can only raise or fold, except in the following circumstances: your opponent is all-in, the cap of 10 Big Blinds has been reached or you are facing a raise greater than your stack size.

iPoker network

In June 2012, iPoker jumped onto the fast fold bandwagon and whereas most skins have a different name for it, the traffic is shared on the entire network (unlike some regular cash game tables on the two major tiers). The limits include No Limit Hold'em up to €1/€2 and Pot Limit Omaha up to €0.10/€0.20, on demand SNG's as well as MTT's have been added to the line up recently. Sorry, no Mac or mobile / iPad client. Popular deals can be found on Poker770 and Ladbrokes.

PartyPoker / bwin

Up to four cash game tables per limit can be played on fastforward, which is limited to No Limit Hold'em up to NL50. All games are played as 6-max with one exception at the NL50 level that is also available as Heads-Up format as well. No MTT's or SNG's in sight just yet. The most popular pools show between 150 and 200 entries during peak times. The mobile / tablet version does feature the fastforward tables as option but you always get an error notification when trying to enter any pool.

888poker

In September 2013, 888poker started testing its own fast fold poker version with the name "Snap Poker" and it was officially introduced about one month later with 6-max cash game tables up to NL200 only. Snap tournaments take place now as well with Buy-Ins of up to $10 with less than 100 participants whereas Freerolls features thousands of entries. Early in May 2014, other skins on the network also rolled out Snap Poker as well (e.g. on Lucky Ace). The tablet version doesn't include any Snap tables yet in May 2014.

Ongame network

In March 2013, Strobe Poker was born  and the only available cash game tables are Texas Hold'em as of NL5 and up to NL200 as well as Pot Limit Omaha at $0.05/$0.10 and $0.25/$0.50. The player pools currently peak at a maximum of 100 entries. You can try EuroPoker but keep playing regularly or you may get moved to their casino site - Betsson is also a solid choice.

Microgaming network

Blaze Poker was officially launched in May 2012 on the Microgaming network but traffic never really picked up much. Three different No Limit Hold'em cash game tables are available: €0.05/€0.10, €0.10/€0.20 and €0.25/€0.50 - the lowest stake peaks around 100-150 players and includes some special raked hand promotions. We'll see how the network evolves after the upcoming closure of Boss Media and the arrival of some of their skins.

InstaDeal network

Operated by Elec Games Limited, the network was launched as fast fold poker only type with 5-max cash game tables and 8-max tables were introduced in late 2013. There are no SNG's available but MTT's run regularly, though without any massive guarantees or heavy fields.
About one year ago when skins such as TerminalPoker and Buzz Poker ventured into the Revolution Gaming Network as white label skins, the general idea of fast fold poker also swapped over to their "new network" and the InstaDeal software was implemented in November 2013. All skins except for the Intertops and Juicy Stakes joint-venture share the traffic whereas the latter sites remain ring fenced and with very little traffic.

Unibet

Back on the Microgaming network, Unibet already had a fast fold poker client that needed to be installed separately. On their new standalone software as of February 2014, they offer Fast Hold'em cash game tables for No Limit Hold'em (NL4 and NL10) only at the moment and can be accessed from the Windows, Mac and mobile / iPad client.

The Hive

The fast fold product on sites such as Planet Win 365 is called InstaPoker. Pot Limit Omaha tables are available up to €0.25/€0.50 whereas No Limit Hold'em peaks at €0.10/€0.20, the game opens in a pop up window and all tables are 5-max with a rather limited traffic.

Bovada (US friendly)

Bovada is the only US friendly  online poker site at the moment with their own independent fast fold poker client that goes by the name "Zone Poker". Whether or not you have to be in the zone to be competitive remains unknown.

WPN adds on demand tournaments and other software fixes in latest release

Thursday, September 12, 2013 Posted by Unknown , , No comments
San Jose, Costa Rica – September 11, 2013 - Who says poker players have to wait forever for the next big tournament to start? Americas Cardroom today announced the launch of On Demand Tournaments, a cross between Sit 'n Go tournaments and multi-table tournaments offering the best of both worlds. The feature is part of a software update that also includes a Preferred Seating feature.

"Here we go again, enhancing our software with new features that are driven by player feedback," said Americas Cardroom spokesperson Michael Harris. "On Demand Tournaments are designed for every player who wants to experience the heated competition of a large-scale multi-table tournament without having to wait for a scheduled start time. We know they're going to be hugely popular."

Just like Sit 'n Go events, On Demand Tournaments begin the second the specified number of players have been seated in the tournament. For example, in an On Demand tournament with 50 available open seats, the tournament will get underway as soon as all 50 seats are filled. The tournament will then fall into late registration and will continue to accept player buy-ins for a specific period of time just as a regular multi-table tournament.

There are no scheduled start times associated with On Demand Tournaments, making them ideal for poker players who prefer not to play on a specific schedule.

On Demand Tournaments isn't the only addition to Americas Cardroom. The US-friendly online poker site has also introduced Preferred Seating. Poker players can now choose their preferred seat when sitting down in heads-up, 6-handed, 8-handed, and 9-handed poker games. Poker players can preset their preferred seats, and when they sit down to play, the table will automatically rotate to seat them in their preferred position.

About Americas Cardroom:
Americas Cardroom joined the Winning Poker Network in 2011. The Winning Poker Network has one of the longest and trusted online names in the industry and has been in existence since 2001. Americas Cardroom accepts players from the US market and the rest of the world. Rated first place for payment processing and cashout reliability in 2012, Americas Cardroom offers outstanding customer service and a friendly environment for all poker players around the world.

Cliffs regarding the software update from the respective 2+2 thread:

1) We are releasing on demand tournaments.
For anyone that doesnt know what these are. An OD tourney is an STT that will start when an x number of players register. Lets say you need 6 players to start. Once these 6 have registered, the tournament will then go into a late registration state for the desired time and continue as an MTT. These will be showing in the top of the tournament lobby.

2) Preferred seating is finally here. If you go to options in the lobby and then table options you will see a tab for preferred seating. You will then be able to pick your preferred seat for 2,6,8 and 9 seater tables.

3) Auto timebank. Another thing you guys have been asking for, been a long time coming. Again you go to the options from the lobby then the general tab. You will then see an option for Auto Engage Time Bank. Click this option and your all set.

4) Highlighted tables. Once you are in a ring game or registered for a tournament. The Font will change and so will the colour so you can clearly see what tables you are playing or what tournaments you are registered for.

5) Ante Animations. FINALLY we will now have simultaneous antes in the tournaments. No more taking from individual players which will speed up the game play alot.

6) Folded Cards. Now, once you have folded your cards you can hover over your nameplate and this will show you your folded hand.

7) Straddle notification. This is a small thing but when a player straddles in a ring game it will now be clear in the nameplate that they have straddled.

If you don't have an account yet, you can sign up and receive weekly 27% Rakeback directly to your account.

Revolution network to introduce Fast Fold'em, BuzzPoker first to launch

Friday, August 23, 2013 Posted by Unknown , , No comments

BuzzPoker (formerly known as Pokertube Speed Poker) was founded in 2012 and started as skin on the InstaDeal network, a fast fold only poker network that also supports mobile devices such as smart phones and iPads. In late January 2013 they also launched a white label skin on the Revolution Network but kept their own processing and were thus never concerned by the reportedly slow withdrawals throughout the network with some exceptions such as Intertops. They also never accepted nor currently do accept new sign ups from the USA either.

Further changes to the overall offer included casino games and the most recent product development was Buzz Odds, a sports betting platform. With the new and improved mobile client, it has been possible to use this feature for some months now and recent promotions target sports bettors as well.
About two weeks ago, Bovada announced the launch of the first US friendly fast fold poker version on their desktop client and as of today the Revolution Network has joined this competition as well.

So far Fast Fold'em has only been implemented on BuzzPoker's Revolution skin but other sites are expected to follow in the not so distant future as well. Upon first glance it appears that the tables on Fast Fold'em are shared 1-1 with the Instadeal network and only 5max tables are listed despite one 8 handed pool on Instadeal. This has since been confirmed by a poker room representative and he described the project as "strategic partnership".

Since launching the Revolution skin it was possible for players to play on Instadeal and Revolution at the same time, this is still the case however you can only join a pool once and the Instadeal network remains fast fold poker only. To celebrate the arrival of this latest improvement, BuzzPoker will be hosting an exclusive €2,000 Rake Race from August 26th to September 8th. The two week long rake race awards cash prizes to the top 10 and the winner walks home with juicy €700.

For each hand on the fast fold poker tables you earn bonus points and the race payout is as follows:

1st €700 2nd €500 3rd €300 4th €200 5th €100 6th €60 7th €50 8th €40 9th €30 10th €20

All hands on said fast fold poker tables count, thus you can join the action via theBuzz Revolution download client (PC only), Instant Play via browser (PC and Mac),  mobile platforms such as iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows and Blackberry as well as the Fast Poker download client aka Instadeal network (PC and Mac).

If you don't have an account yet on BuzzPoker, sign up via Pokerspace and either earn unlimited PS Points as you play or weekly Rakeback credited to the account (30% for Instadeal and 36% for Revolution). Withdrawals to eWallets such as Skrill are reportedly processed within 1-2 business days at the utmost.
