Jose, Costa Rica – December 5, 2011 –It’s official! Online
poker in America is back with a vengeance, and Americas Cardroom has the numbers
to prove it. Its 6-day online poker super series, dubbed ACROSS, was a big
attraction for US-based online poker players. In all, $172,427.00 in total prize
pool money was paid out, cracking the $150,000 figure that had been
guaranteed.

success of ACROSS is a big deal for players across America,” stated
AmericasCardroom.com spokesman. “Online poker is thriving in the US and we’re
excited to be a major part of it. Our players can look forward to more big deal
events like ACROSS in 2012 and beyond.”
ACROSS
ran from November 29th through December 4th and guaranteed to pay out $150,000
in prize pool money. The online poker super series included a $25,000
Thanksgiving Day warm-up and a $50,000 guaranteed grand finale.
Stealbelt
took down the $50,000 Guaranteed Main Event on December 4th, winning $10,250 for
his first place victory and bragging rights for conquering the biggest
tournament of the series. Wolfattacku grabbed $6,375 for a second place finish,
and gadolparah claimed $4,500 for finishing third.
Imawhale26
claimed the King of Cashing contest, a title for racking up more ACROSS cashes
than any other online poker player. He earned a free seat in Americas Cardroom’s
$15,000 Guaranteed Deep Stack on Sunday.
Americas
Cardroom continues to push the envelope, offering more to tournament players. On
December 18th, at 6:00pm ET, Americas Cardroom will be hosting a special $50,000
guaranteed tournament. Players can claim their spot in the tournament for $75+
$7.50, or they can opt to get into it through a low buy-in qualifier. Satellites
are now running from as low as $2.20.
