Americas Cardroom launches World's First Progressive Points Race as of July 2012

Wednesday, June 27, 2012 Posted by Unknown , , No comments

San Jose, Costa Rica - June 28, 2012 - A spokesperson from Americas Cardroom announced today the unveiling of a new progressive rake race dubbed "The Beast". The new promotion, which is set to launch July 1st, promises to be the first ever progressive points race that will continually grow from player's shared jackpot contribution.

"We've set the stage for the richest points race in the history of online poker," said ACR spokesperson Michael Harris. "Our players can now play poker with a positive expectation from the shared jackpot contribution. We're spreading the winnings out to our player base so everyone can benefit from jackpot tables each month."

Players earn points when they are involved or contribute in a pot in which a jackpot fee is taken. Regardless of the amount a player contributes whether through blinds or contribution, they will receive an equal amount of jackpot points if they contributed any money at all. Player points will be calculated at a higher points multiplier based upon the size of the stake the player is playing at.

"The Beast" awards substantial cash prizes to those that place in the race. The more players that compete in the race the more the cash prizes are seeded. "We estimate that first month alone could clear over $200,000 with a first prize exceeding $25,000", continued Harris. "It's one of the most innovative promotions to ever stem from player's jackpot fees."

In addition to cash prizes players can also win tournament satellite tickets to land based Latin Series of Poker events. The race distributes $109 satellite tickets for those who qualify giving players an opportunity to win a $5,000 dream poker vacation at the Punta Cana Poker Classic in the Dominican Republic. The brick and mortar no-limit holdem poker tournament guarantees a $500,000 prize pool in a tropical beach location.

If you don't have an account on Americas Cardroom yet, you can sign up through Pokerspace and benefit from the monthly $250 Race and either earn PS Points as you play or 27% Rakeback.

#WPN introduces new Elite Benefits Loyalty Program

Thursday, March 01, 2012 Posted by Unknown , , , No comments

Americas Cardroom Launches Elite Benefits Loyalty Program Featuring Dealt Rake Method of Calculating Rewards.

San Jose, Costa Rica – March 1, 2012 - Americas Cardroom continues to conquer the US online poker market. Days after earning top marks for the industry's best payment processing, the online poker site has launched a new loyalty program -Elite Benefits- that solidifies the company as a major force.

Americas Cardroom today announced the launch of its new military-themed loyalty program. Elite Benefits comes with a host of rewards for every real-money online poker player, but perhaps the biggest draw for grinders is how Americas Cardroom calculates points to determine a player's loyalty status. The online poker site uses the dealt rake method to calculate points, a system that's been abandoned by competitors.

"We're all about treating players better than any other poker site, and our Elite Benefits program is proof of that," stated Americas Cardroom spokesman Michael Harris. "We're poker players too, and we read the forums and talk to poker players across the country every day. This is what's missing from the online poker market. This is what everyone's been asking for. We're happy to deliver it."

Elite Benefits is designed to put more money in more players' pockets than any other rewards program. The second a poker player starts to play for real money at Americas Cardroom, they'll become a part of Elite Benefits. There are five tiers to the program —Lieutenant, Captain, Major, Colonel, and General—.

To move up in military rank, online poker players must earn a predetermined number of Rank Points per month. While earning Rank Points, poker players will also earn Combat Points, which can be swapped for things like tournament entries, poker vacations, merchandise, and real cash at the Americas Cardroom store.

As poker players move up in rank, they're given access to even more store rewards, and they'll earn special bonuses worth thousands in cash. Chief among the benefits are:

• Up to $138,000 in yearly cash rewards.
• High-end electronics.
• Tickets to Live Events.
• Poker merchandise.
• Access to exclusive freerolls.

Americas Cardroom uses the Dealt Rake methodology to calculate Elite Benefits Rank Points. That means every player is rewarded Rank Points at the same rate—regardless of whether they contributed $10 or $0.50 in rake to a pot.

Full details on Elite Benefits can be found at AmericasCardroom.eu.

Breaking news: WPN Jackpot surpasses $500k

Monday, January 30, 2012 Posted by Unknown , , , No comments

Action heats up at online poker tables as players look to win hundreds of thousands by losing a hand of Hold'em.

San Jose, Costa Rica – January 30, 2012 – Someone at TruePoker is about to laugh all the way to the bank. The Bad Beat Jackpot at TruePoker.eu has surpassed the $500,000 mark and is quickly inching into $600k territory. As of yesterday, Bad Beat Jackpot tables were filling up fast with players vying for the shot at a six-figure payday.

The next player to lose a hand of Texas Hold'em with quad eights or anything better while seated at a Bad Beat Jackpot table will pop the Bad Beat Jackpot, sending hundreds of thousands in cash onto the table where the bad beat occurred.

It's all part of the ongoing Bad Beat Jackpot game at TruePoker.eu. The online poker site is softening the blow of losing at the poker tables by paying poker players big money when misfortune strikes. At this moment, the loser of the hand is guaranteed a payout over $100,000.

But it's not just the recipient of the bad beat who walks away a winner. The winner of the hand stands to win 20% of the jackpot, those who participated in the dealt hand will share 10% of the jackpot and 30% is dedicated for reseeding the next jackpot.

The US-friendly online poker site also announced today its largest monthly Points Race yet—a $100,000 test of endurance that includes a $60,000 monthly Points Race and four weekly races using the dealt rake method worth another $40,000, a system that hardcore grinders will love.

Poker Players Make a Run for Americas Cardroom as $100k Points Race Heats Up.

Monday, January 30, 2012 Posted by Unknown , , No comments

New Points Race especially beneficial to grinders who miss the dealt rake method that's been abandoned by other sites.

San Jose, Costa Rica – January 30, 2012 - Online poker players who miss the dealt rake method poker sites once used to calculate rewards now have a big reason to make a run for Americas Cardroom. The US-friendly online poker site today announced its largest monthly Points Race yet—a $100,000 test of endurance that includes a $60,000 monthly Points Race and four weekly races worth another $40,000. The $40k Points Race, exclusively for cash game players, will use a dealt rake method to calculate leaderboard points. It's a system that hardcore grinders will love.

"This month, we've got something for diehard tournament players, and something big for those who love to do damage exclusively in Ring Games," stated Michael Harris, spokesman for Americas Cardroom. "And with $100,000 in free money on the table, just for playing, Americas Cardroom is the place to play this February."

Unlike smaller races held in previous months where players had to wait until the end of the month to get paid, the $100k Points Race is made up of two separate point races—a $60 Marathon that runs for an entire month, and a $40k Sprint that pays players every week.

Online poker players who play real-money poker at Americas Cardroom will automatically participate in the $60k Marathon, earning points toward a month-long leaderboard competition that awards the top 275 players with $60,000 in prize money.

The $40k Sprint is made up of four separate $10k Point Races. It works the same way as the month-long marathon, but only points earned in Ring Games count toward the $40k Sprint leaderboard. Each week, 125 winners will share in $10,000, with first place earning $2,000.

Online poker players without an Americas Cardroom account can take part in the $100k Points Race by downloading the free online poker software from AmericasCardroom.eu.

Yatahay Network Becomes The Winning Poker Network (WPN)

Friday, January 13, 2012 Posted by Unknown , , No comments

.
Name change comes on the heels of exceptional growth for online poker network.

San Jose, Costa Rica - January 12, 2012 - In a move reflective of its industry-leading product offering and proven dedication to the online poker community in the United States, the Yatahay Poker Network has announced a name change. Effective January 12, 2012, the Yatahay Poker Network has been renamed The Winning Poker Network.

"It's more than a name, it's a mantra," stated a spokesman for The Winning Poker Network. "Our promotions are better, our guarantees keep getting bigger, and our software delivers everything players ask for. Players who love to win are hitting our network in record numbers and the entire poker world has good reason to be excited about what's ahead."

The name change is a natural fit for a network that has grown substantially since early 2011. After the fall of the big three last April, the Yatahay Poker Network positioned itself as the best destination for US players looking for a safe, secure and fun online poker site. It did so by substantially improving its software, by acquiring respected online poker site DoylesRoom, and by committing big money to growing its online poker community.

The online poker network has seen substantial growth, thanks in large part to its desire to be the top online poker destination for US players and those around the world. Players at The Winning Poker Network's online poker sites—including Americas Cardroom, True Poker, BetCris and others—have seen prize pools in tournaments grow on a monthly basis over the last six months.

While the name is new, the online poker network has a stellar history of servicing online gaming customers. Established in 2001 as Yatahay, The Winning Poker Network offers cutting-edge software to operators that wish to offer online poker and casino games. The Winning Poker Network boasts a full-service operation catering to customers amongst established gaming operators.
