The second day of the $1,100 CPT Main Event at the Casino Royale on Sint Maarten / Netherland Antilles saw 42 players out of 150 entries return to the tables and William Hill online qualifier Sabina Hiatullah was leading the field after Xuan Hien Cao had mixed up black T-500 and purple T-5,000 chips the night before when bagging and tagging. It was fast and furious all the way and within two levels the field was already reduced to 27.

Jeremy Nock was on a heater and sent several opponents to the rail, boosting himself to the top of the chip counts. Among those to bust before the money were Mihai Manole, Antonio Chemi, the Poker Royale qualifiers Peter Tahin and Attila Juhas as well as Bernhard Moessner, Martin Hanowski and Allen Kessler. The 18th place finisher and thus bubble boy was Jean-Bruno Printemps, who got it in drawing dead with Kh4s against the 2h2d of Ari Engel on the QdKd9h2c turn.
Jean Luc Docquier and Intertops online qualifier Brian Kulp had to settle for a minimum cash worth $1,950 and the next payout step for $2,100 included Kirill Sidorovitch, Pierre Goetz and World Series Of Poker tournament director Charlie Ciresi. Ari Engel dominated the action for a decent part of the day but eventually ran out of chips in two big pots against Dan Murariu. First the Romanian five-bet shoved with AdTh and cracked the QdQc of Engel. The latter then four-bet jammed pocket fours into the Queens of Murariu and this time the better hand pre flop held up.
It would be Jeremy Nock who just missed out on the final table after getting it in with pocket sevens against the pocket nines of Murariu. The Romanian will begin the remaining 50:12 in level 15 at blinds 4,000-8,000 / ante 500 as chip leader followed by Hiatullah in second place. The German is not only the last remaining woman in the field but also the final online qualifier.
World Poker Tour champion Will "The Thrill" Failla (3rd, 408,000) and former November Niner Bob Bounahra (4th, 396,000) make for a very interesting final table constellation. Poker Royale boss Peter Hajszan will be the short stack when the action resumes at 17:00 local time on Monday November 3rd.
